My Mother-in-law Joan gave me this recipe at my bridal shower. It has been my husband’s favorite comfort food since he was a kid and I have continued making it for him for the past 20+ years.

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup flour
Dash of pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons beef bouillon crystals
4 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Brown meat; drain fat. Add flour, pepper, salt and bouillon crystals to beef, mix and cook for 5 minutes or until flour is absorbed. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to a simmer, stir frequently until thickened. Serve over toast.
