A family approached Concierge Care Advisors, concerned about their mother. She’d been retired for some time and didn’t really need assisted living now, but the family knew the decision was closer than they’d like. Their mom suffered from failing eyesight—it was often difficult for her to recognize people or lost items, and her fall risk was increasing. The family wanted to explore options that might be safer and more comfortable than living alone at home.
When they started their search, the family specified that the community should feel like home, rather than a hospital or institution. Concierge Care Advisors identified three different senior living communities near the family’s home that matched their criteria. We arranged a personal visit for each, and in the end, the family chose an adult family home that was perfect for their mother. It had an impressive level of care, cleanliness and affordability.
Solution
With this in mind, we managed to identify three different senior communities in Kirkland that best matched her criteria. After looking them over, we arranged for a personalized tour of each one. As we toured them with her, the woman’s mother was given the opportunity to speak with the staff and residents to learn personal insights of the homes.
Results
In the end, she chose an adult family home in Kirkland as the perfect home for her mother. She even remarked that she was impressed with the level of care provided at their center, as well as its overall cleanliness and affordability. Julie was the point person for us to find a place for our 94 year old Dad.
