National Medicare covers part of some hospital stays, doctors visits, and therapies—often around 80%. Such care might include physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or a bath aide. Medicare typically can only be used following a hospitalization, for approximately a six week period, and at just a couple days a week. For long term care, Medicare isn’t usually able to help much.
